Indicating/recording Systems Flashcards
What is TO inhibit?
When is it active?
TO inhibit prevents failures (not affecting safety of the flight) to appear during take off
Starts when TO thrust selected until 1500ft
When is landing inhibit active
From 800ft until 80kts on runway
When does TO memo appear and disappear?
2 mins after 2nd engine start until TO power set
When does landing memo appear?
Below 2000ft RA until 80kts
When does BUSS appear?
Failure of all 3 ADRs
Based on AoA
If a screen is flickering/flashing what does QRH suggest is the cause? Solution?
Intermittent electrical supply issue
Capt side or E/WD turn off GEN 1
FO side or SD turn off GEN 2
If a DU is blank or has F on it what is wrong? Solution?
DU has failed
If ECAM screen has failed use ECAM ND XFER button
If DU has ‘Invalid data’ on screen, what should you do?
Could indicate failure of DMC. Use ECAM switching to change to standby DMC
What/how many FWC are there?
2 Flight Warning Computers
Generate all aural synthetic voice warnings as well as rad alt and DH callouts. Divides its functions into flight phases
How many flight phases are there?
10
What/how many DMCs are there?
3 DMCs
They power the DUs and take info from many sources and communicate it to the DUs
What causes multiple unexpected ECAMs?
If a DMC stops functioning correctly can get multiple ECAMs. Procedure in QRH
All speeds are updated constantly based on a/c weight…how?
In flight, FACs calculate weight of the a/c by comparing aerodynamic and a/c parameters. It calculates VS1g and uses this to work out entire flight envelope and operating speeds.
It does this up to 14500ft and then uses GW less fuel burn
What are the target speeds displayed on the PFD based on?
ZFW, CofG and fuel load entered by crew
Which FAC calculates speed scales on PFD?
FAC 1 - PFD 1
FAC 2 - PFD 2
