What is implantation bleeding
A
Bleeding that occurs when the fertilised egg implants in the endometrial lining

Clinical presentation of implantation bleeding
A
Light brownish bleeding around 10 days post-ovulation followed by signs of pregnancy

What is chorionic haematoma
A
Pooling of blood between between the chorion, a membrane surrounding the embryo, and the uterine wall

Clinical presentation of chorionic haematoma
A
- Bleeding
- Cramping
- Threatened miscarriage
- Symptoms and course follow size and perpetuation
- Large haematomas may be source of infection, irritability (causing cramping) and miscarriage
