- Stop
- check for derailment
- radio call to TC with location and Lead Motor car number
- PA
- look for cause ie debris, if back of signal is seen then that may be the cause
- reset trip
- proceed with caution extreme caution to next fixed signal
- incident report must be submitted to depot train driver managers correspondence box
What must a driver do when confronted with an irregular signalling sequence?
- attempt to stop prior to signal
- advise TC or Controlling Signaller of circumstances
- include signal number and the fault
- receive the correct authority to pass the defective signal or to continue on if unable to stop prior to the signal.
