What will happen if the engine bleed switches are on with the APU bleed air switch on?

A

APU bleed air will not be available

If either of the engines bleed air toggle switches are selected on, the APU bleed valve will close. This ensures that bleed air is not being supplied from both the engines and APU at the same time.

17
Q

When will the Engine Intake HTR light illuminate?

A

· Engine intake bypass door is open AND · Engine is running (oil pressure sensor) AND · SAT is below approximately 15°C (temperature sensor) AND · 115-volt variable AC power is availableSDM 13-4

18
Q

When are the deice boots required to be used?

A

Wing and Tail Leading Edge Pneumatic Deicing Boot system, if installed, shall be activated: - At the first sign of ice formation anywhere on the aircraft, or upon annunciation from an ice detection system, whichever occurs first; and - The system shall either be continued to be operated in the automatic cycling mode, if available; or the system shall be manually cycled as needed to minimize the ice accretions on the airframe. AD FSM 1.5.2

19
Q

When may the wing and tail deicing boots be turned off?

A

The AFM requires, when clear of icing conditions, the deice boots to continue to be operated for two complete cycles before selecting OFF. FSM 1.5.2
