When must a pilot read the FCIF?

A

The radio shall be tuned to the appropriate in range station frequency. The pilots are not required to monitor the frequency.

When do you have to monitor ARINC frequency?

A

SELCAL Not Operable or Not In Range:
Pilots shall continuously monitor the appropriate station frequency when in range of a Horizon Air station. When not in range of a company station, the appropriate ARINC frequency shall be monitored.

When a non-standard flight routing is filed by Dispatch, the flight crew shall ask for a full route clearance with ATC Clearance Delivery. Non-standard flight routings are noted as such in the leg remarks on the Dispatch Release.

A

When “Low Visibility Conditions” are in effect, as announced in ATIS broadcasts, the inter phone system between the flightdeck and ground shall be operative for pushback. Airport Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (SMGCS) procedures are in effect when the airport announces “Low Visibility Conditions” are in effect.
