Can you describe the pain history?

Investigate any family history of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
How is your social life, including school and home environment? Any smokers at home?
Discuss the patient’s social environment, including school performance, home life, and exposure to smokers.
What are your ideas, concerns, and expectations regarding your symptoms?
Explore the patient’s ideas about their condition, their concerns, and what they expect from medical intervention.
