Visographic tests
-require a subject to copy various designs; used in education and neuropsychological testing because of their sensitivity to many types of brain damage.
Creativity
-the ability to be original, to combine known facts in new ways or to find new relationships between known facts (may be an alternative to IQ testing); may also be useful in a battery to explain nature of student’s classroom disability.
Intelligence tests
-measure potential ability.
>Achievement tests and intelligence tests often overlap; a comparison of the two can be useful.
Achievement tests
-measure what the person has acquired or done with their potential intelligence.

-study and practice of job analysis, job recruitment, employee selection and the evaluation of employee performance.
Organizational psychology (I/O)
-considers leadership, job satisfaction, employee satisfaction, employee motivation and a variety of factors surrounding the functioning of organizations.
Employee Interview:
-most research supports a structured format (helps interviewers reach their agreement on employment decisions)
Structured Employee Interview:
- produced mean validity coefficients twice as high as did unstructured interviews
- often seeks to scout for negative unfavorable rather than favorable evidence
Interview Performance
- can play a very important role (even in structured interviews
- those who are great at impression management are given higher ratings and are more likely to obtain employment)
Negative factors that lead to rejection in an employment interview (5)
1) poor communication skills 2) lack of confidence or poise
3) low enthusiasm
4) nervousness
5) failure to make eye contact.
Positive factors that lead to good impression in interview (5)
1) ability to express oneself
2) self-confidence and poise
3) enthusiasm
4) ability to sell oneself 5) aggressiveness.
* *one must not be careful to overdo good impression as this may be perceived as manipulative**

- Friendliness or personal warmth through nonverbal cues
