Define hypothesis. (2)
A
- Testable statement that predicts the outcomes of a study and a possible relationship between the IV and DV
- Each study should have a null and alternative hypothesis

What is a null hypothesis? What should it end with?
A
- Prediction that the results won’t show any consistent relationship
- MUST end with “Any relationship found will be due to chance”

- Prediction of expected outcomes

Alt hypo that makes a CLEAR claim of an expected outcome
