Hypersensitivity Flashcards
1
Q
What is T1 hypersensitivity
A
IgE Mediated
-IgE binds to mast cell/basophil = degranulation = Histamine release
2
Q
What does histamine release cause
A
Vasoconstriction
Increased permeability @H1
Bronchoconstriction
3
Q
What is the difference between T2 and T3 hypersensitivity
A
Antigen Antibody complement activated complement
T2= At site of binding
T3= Away from site (Deposition)
4
Q
What HS is T cell mediated
A
T4
-Activated TH1 by APC
5
Q
What is Anaphylaxis
A
T1 IgE mediated Hypersensitivity Emergency
6
Q
How does anaphylaxis present
A
Shock (Hypotension, Tachycardia, Dyspnoea, Cold, Pale w/ Puffy face)
7
Q
How is Anaphylaxis managed
A
ABCDE
500 mg IM Adrenaline
Antiistamines
Cortisol
