Tropical storm warning (storm is expected to hit within 24 hrs)
- off going take bunker gear home And leave their phone numbers with the company officer where they can be reached
- Station preparation shall consist of securing all items around station according to a written detailed procedures to be prepared in advance by the station commander ( shutters, test generators, order fuel and propane, top off apparatus, fill blue 55 gallon drum with potable water, pickup necessary supplies etc)
- assure all power equipment is operational
Hurricane watch ( hurricane is expected to hit within 36 hrs)
At announcement of a hurricane watch By the national hurricane center all off duty personnel or R day, v day, etc. will call their assigned work locations and leave all phone numbers with the company officer where they can reach. The company officer will document this info in the station journal along with the time it was revived.
Swing and unassigned will call the station where their DC is assigned
All off going personal will take their bunker gear home
The shift commander will be responsible for keeping a list in the journal of all personal calling in. The DC will assure this takes place
Station prep
Assure all power equip is operational
Cancellation of R day procedure after watch is announced
- Cat 1 or 2 r day may be canceled at the discretion of the Fire Chief for his designee
- Cat 3 or greater all R days will be canceled unless the Fire Chief determines otherwise.
On R at the time of announcements not affected
Hurricane watch announced after 1800 hrs next on duty shift will report for duty no later then 1100 hrs instead of their normal 0730 hrs reporting time. These additional hrs allow off duty personal to secure their property
Personnel that are on duty when watch is announced after 18:00 may remain on duty up to 11:00 hrs. the following day

Additional supplies delivered to the stations by logistics division
Watchman will keep a detailed log of all events and activities taking place in the station
All personal review emergency communication procedures
Procedure when a hurricane warning is announced without a preceding watch
If the warning is announced by the national hurricane center before 1800 hrs, the next on duty shift will provide the proper relief.
If after 1800 hours or later the shift last on duty will provide the relief
Relief for on duty personal shall in no case exceed 4 hrs unless specific permission is granted by the relief member and company officer

14, FB station and FBC will be evacuated
14 will relocate to 7
FB station and FBC will be stored at Merrill Stevens boat yard. FB members will be housed at station 5
Cat 2 or 3
Station 6 will House Chief 1
