Lend Lease was a programme, which allowed the USA to ship large quantities of supplies and materials to Britain, this included equipment, food and weapons.
What happened to US production levels between the years 1938 and 1944?
The US economy doubled in production levels! Unemployment vanished due to millions being employed in the Armed Forces.
