One of the most important effects of the Fireside Chats was?
They gave confidence to the American people who weren’t used to this direct approach. They gave the public CONFIDENCE, Roosevelt assured the American people that he’d fix the banking crisis.

They’d withdrawn all their savings, leading to many banks going out of business because they had no money.

They closed ALL banks for a few days.

They backed over 5,000 banks and reassured the American people that their money was safe, restoring confidence to the American people when these banks were opened again a few days later.
