A
Chemical messengers that are secreted into the blood and carried to target tissues

Pituitary gland
A
Sits at base of brain. Produces hormones that stimulate production of other hormones.

Androgens
A
Class of hormones including testosterone, that are found in higher levels in males. Also cause sex drive in women

Corpus collosum
A
Bundle of axons that connects the two hemispheres.

Aphasia
A
Loss of language ability (language mostly in left hemisphere)

Broca’s aphasia
A
Nonfluent. Understandable but little words used and wrong grammer, also harder to understand grammer

Wernicke’s aphasia
A
Fluent aphasia, not understandable, gibberish because they can’t find the words.
