  7. social - the ability to relate and connect with other people. Establish and maintain positive relationships with family, friends and co-workers.

  2. contemplation - actively considering change and researching what might be required to make the change
  3. preparation - may include small changes - things like buying runners, researching gym memberships, developing a plan of action.
  4. Action - starting to make change
  5. maintenance - sustaining the change over time
    at this point, the new behavior is now permanent
