What is hip dysplasia?
A
Where the hip socket does not fully ball of the femur
Increased chance of dislocation
More common in females, +pregnancy

What is the centre edge angle?
A
The angle is measured between a vertical line through the centre of the femoral head (line VC) and a second line from the centre of the hip to the anterior-most aspect of the acetabulum (line CA)
25-40 degrees = normal
25-30 degrees = borderline dysplasia
20 degrees or less = dysplasia
16 degrees or less = development of osteoarthritis
