A

they differ from his usual portayal,he is shown to be resting after fighting the lion, which shows him not to be an indestructable warrior but a flawed and brave mortal, encouraging the subjects to adapt the mindset
the emphasis is on humaniaty and endurance
he begins the taks sclean shaven and ends bearded which shows the physical toll it had on him
as well as the emphasis on humanity as athena is helping him hold the heavens with one hand while he (a human) is putting all of his strength into the task

A

as he and his new wife were crossing a river after defeating achelous he was offered help carrying her over by the centaur nessus. however nessus then tried to steal his wife, hercules shot him with one of the hydra arrows and the poison mixed with his blood. in his final moments nessus gifted his poisoned cloak to the new wife

A

his wife feared that he was unfaithful to her and gifted him the cloak as an attempt to make him faithful, or potentially he just worse it mindlessly. he was wearing it as he performed a sacrifice and the flames ignited the venom in the cloak which ripped his skin off
whilst the human half of hercules was destroyed in the fire his godly side was allowed up to olympus as one of the godds
