Syndrome of shortness of breath and hypoxemia due to intrapulmonary vascular dilatation in patients with advanced liver disease

Orthodeoxia; hypoxia upon sitting upright
In severe cases, patients are breathless on standing

Diagnosis
A
Diagnosis is clinical and can only be made in a patient who has evidence of liver disease and impaired oxygenation. Changes improve with liver transplantation
