Why did the English get involved in the French invasion of Brittany?
Invasion of 1487 led to Henry calling parliament in 1489. French control of Brittany could also be a potential threat to England.
What was the treaty between England and Brittany?
Treaty of Redon in February 1489. Anne agreed to pay for a small English army. Maximillian had a marriage by proxy with Anne so didn’t want Brittany to fall into French hands.
What was the outcome of England’s involvement in Brittany?
Anne married Charles, which led to England being marooned in Brittany.
