- stress as a stimulus

what is stress?
a perceived discrepancy between external depends and individuals resources
what is primary and secondary appraisal of stress?
primary appraisal: access to the meaning of the situation for our well being (harm-loss)
secondary appraisal: access out resources to deal with the situation i.e. be an optimist or be a pessimist
