A

acute- is a disease with a rapid onset that lasts for a short period of time eg dengue, influenza
chronic- is a disease with a short onset that usually last a long period of time eg chronic bronchitis
degenerative- a gradual decline in bodily functions eg hiv/aids

A

is an infectious disease from causative agents of 4 serotypes of denv 1, 2, 3, 4, transmitted by insect vector female mosquito aedes aegypti, mainly across tropics & subtropics, incubation period is usually 4 days, goes into the white blood cells, liver & bone and marrow, symptoms being high fever nausea and painful body aches

How can you prevent dengue?

A

wear long sleeve clothing to avoid mosquito biting you or piercing into your skin, putting screens in windows or door to keep mosquito’s from going in, keeping area clean and tidy to avoid a nesting place for mosquito, use oils and repellents
