Hatshepsut was one of the few woman to rule Egypt.She was the daughter of 1 pharoh and the wife of another.
What happened after her husband died?
After her husband died, her son was to young to rule, so she decided to become the pharoh herself.

Some people did not want o bow to a woman, so to gain their respect and support she carried out all the rituals expected of a male pharoh

Her statues showed that she dressed as a king and wore a false beard, which was the symbol of the pharohs power.
