In ancient Egypt, a material very similar to paper was invented called papyrus. our word paper comes from the word papyrus.
What was papyrus similar to and what was it made from?
Papyrus was very similar to paper, and it was made from the papyrus reef which grew along the Nile.

Scribes wrote on papyrus sheets with ink.
How was Egyptian writing different form how the Sumerians wrote?

How do written records give us more info then wall paintings?
Wall paintings may show us how Egyptian’s lived, but written records give us fuller sense of what was going on their hearts and minds.
