  1. USB port has already too many devices attached to supply adequate power (remove some devices or attach external power to devices)
  2. The OS doesnt have the correct drivers for that particular removable external drive (download the correct driver for the drive)

after updating the CMOS firmware, the PC will not start

A

the CMOS firmware did not install properly

(1. obtain a new CMOS by checking the manufacturer’s mobo website
2. if the mobo has two CMOS chip, use the other one
3. restore the original firmware)

  2. CPU multiplier/voltage are set too high (lower)
