A

Haemolytic anaemia

What is the pathophysiology of HUS?

A

Formation of blood clots - consumes platelets = thrombocytopenia

Blood clots -> tear up RBCs = haemolytic anaemia

Blood flow to kidneys is reduced = AKI

A

Bloody diarrhoea
