- uncomplicated: young healthy women
- complicated: everyone else (more Rx needed)
uncomplicated pyelonephritis
- young healthy females
- flank pain
complicated pyelonephritis
- everyone else
- always get urine and blood cultures
- more resistant, need more follow-ups
treatment for uti in asymptomatic patients
only if pregnant and impending GU procedure

-start with IV then go oral Abx

- neuro = 2 weeks at higher dose
