What are the boundaries of the cephalic cavity?4
Superior- frontal and occipital bones
Inferior-bones that make up base of skull.
Lateral- parietal and temporal bones.
Anterior-frontal bone. Partly by the ethmoid and sphenoid bones and bones of face except mandible and maxilla.
Posterior- the occipital bone
What are the boundaries of the chest?
Superior- root of neck and first pair of ribs.
Inferior- diaphragm.
Anterior- sternum and ribs.
Posterior- 12 thoracic vertebrae and ribs.
Lateral- ribs and intercostal muscles on either side
Boundaries of the abdo and pelvis?
Superior- diaphragm Inferior- continuous with pelvis Anterior- large abdo muscles Posterior- lumbar vertebrae and posterior abdo wall Lateral- floating ribs and abdo muscles
