What is a vector image?
Saved using mathematical formula
Can be scaled without loss of quality
Small file size
What is cloning?
Making one part of an image look like another by cloning another area
What is layering?
Building up an image out of several images that are layered on top of one another
What is transparency?
Each layer can be given a different transparency allowing some images to be seen through others
What is distortion?
Can add movement or other effects that can add artistic interest to an image
What is brush settings?
Most graphics packages will allow you to use different setting that will alter the style of the brush
What is zoom?
Allows you to zoom into an image to add fine detail
What is transform?
This will allow you to manipulate size and shape of images
What is colours/palettes?
You will normally be able to select colours by using a palette
What is a bitmap image?
Saved/created using pixels
Very detailed images
When scaled, you lose quality
