What is tweening?
The computer software allows you to create key frames. The software then creates the in between frames for you
What is rotoscoping?
This is when you trace or draw round the image of an actor or any other moving object frame by frame. The movements look authentic because they are copied from real life
What is stop motion?
Where you take an image of a model, move the model a little, take another image and so on
Playing the images back quickly gives the illusion of moving images
Claymation - uses clay
Pixilation - uses real life actors
What is onion skinning?
When you able to see several frames of your animation, allowing you to create a smooth animation
What is a mood board?
A collection of images, colours and fonts which helps you to design a website
What is persistence of vision?
The process by which the eye is fooled into thinking still images are moving
What is frame rate?
The number of frames per second in your animation. A fast frame rate gives a small animation but large file size
What is animation?
When a series of still images are linked together as part of a timed sequence
This makes the image appear to move
What is multimedia?
A collection of different media, e.g. text, image, etc.
