peaks 24-48 hrs and takes 5- 10 days for flare up to resolve

Primary Therapy for acute and chronic therapy
Drug therapy
Acute- Colchicine, relief in 2 day and NSAIDS
Chronic-Prophylactic- allopurinol- 2-6 weeks to see improvement
