- cheap, young and efficient work force
- very small amount of tax
- immediate access to contaienr ports, major roads and airports

- propaganda from both America and China, with films and media portraying fear and hate
- America and China were on opposing sides over conflict
- China had originally been very closed off from the world

Zhengzhou is an inland city in the East of China, alongside a river, with a long history as a trading a transport hub. It is well connected to the rest of China
Why are some people for the developments of airports and aerotropolis?
They attract investment and FDI which then triggers the multiplier effect
Why are some people against the development of airports and aerotropolis?
The negative environmental impacts such as air and noise pollution.
The airports are made redundant if there are high speed railways that are well connected
