Asymptomatic or self-limited diarrhea or can lead to chronic diarrhea, steatorrhea, frequent loose and pale greasy stools, malabsorption and weight loss

Antibiotics if severe, otherwise self-limiting

Fecal-oral through person to person, anal intercourse, or unfiltered water in lakes and streams
