What does GLUT 2 do
Moves glucose out of the enterocyte across the basolateral membrane
What does GLUT 5 do
Move fructose across the apical membrane of the enterocyte
(From gut lumen into enterocyte)
What does SGLT 1 do
Sodium glucose linked transporter that co-transports them from the gut into the enterocyte
What blood test when raised would reliably indicate that a gallstone is stuck in the common bile duct
Conjugated billirubin levels
Why are raised conjugated billirubin levels seen
If the passage of bile is blocked and cannot flow into gut
billirubin levels in plasma increase
Blockage is after the liver has conjugated billirubin
ALP tends to rise in
Biliary obstruction and bone disease
Which curve of the stomach is most prone to ulceration
Lesser curve
Which location is most common for peptic ulceration
