- Large waist circumference (35+ for W and 40 + for M)
- High triglyceride level (> 150)
- Reduced HDL cholesterol (<40 in M, <50 in W)
- Increased blood pressure (> 130/85)
- Elevated fasting blood sugar (>100)
Flat, less than 1cm =
Macule
Flat, greater than 1 cm as seen in freckles or measles
Patch
Solid raised lesion Less than 1 cm
Papule
solid, larger than 1 cm such as lichen planus, warts, or scabies
plaque
1-2cm solid lesion with distinct edges
nodule
nodule greater 2cm such as a lipoma
tumor
Raised lesions less than 1 cm and filled with clear fluid.
