- Some Sunni Muslims believe that God has DETERMINED everything that will happen in our universe
- This means that we have no free will

- So we still have free will, but God knows what we will decide
- God is the creator of Time, there is no past present of future, so God knows everything that will ever happen or has already happened

- People need divine guidance to know how to live correctly
- Will return, so gives Muslims hope when he brings JUSTICE and EQUALITY

- Word of God, most sacred text
- "Contains guidance for those who are mindful of God"
- Contains advice how to follow God (allows Muslims to get a full close relationship with him)
- it brings 'blessings' from God
- Original copy is in heaven. so when read it makes them feel mores spiritually connected to God
