Reflexes in affected limbs may be weak or absent
Max weakness:
4 weeks
Most serious complication
Respiratory Failure
Frequent assessment of:
RR & Depth
Acute phase of care
vent support
ICU supportive care
hemodynamic monitoring

Prognosis influenced by:
Age GI infection rapid onset hospitalization longer than 11 days need for mechanical ventilation
