Management of Whipples disease
4-6 months of co-trimoxazole or penicillin
Whipples histology
macrophages are positive with PAS
Dukes A tumour, colonoscopy surveillance
Annual for 2 years then 3 yearly
Faecult blood for 6 months for 4 years then annually
Chronic pancreatitis investigation
Faecal elastase
Enteric fever chronic status investigation
Culture of intestinal secretions
Wilsons disease bloods
Low serum uric acid
High urinary copper excretion
Low caeruloplasmin
