Takes air in and out of body Oxygen diffuses into blood stream Carbon dioxide diffuses out into air Rib cage moves out and up and diaphragm becomes flatter to Bring air into lungs Reverse to make air move out Movement of air known as ventilation

How does lung work
A
Deoxygenated blood from heart with blood plasma with carbon dioxide and red blood cells with low oxygen
Oxygen diffuses into red blood cells and carbon dioxide diffuses out of blood plasma
Blood leaves lungs with oxygenated red blood cells and plasma with low carbon dioxide
