  • Up to Control to state FSG not fire ground.
  • All deemed persons reported by control.
  • IC will determine when all persons accounted for.
  • IC decide how to prioritise calls, directing resources to greatest risk.

FSG enhanced attendance made up of;

A

• Persons reported attendance;
1CU , 1SM, 1FIU

• FSG element;
CU (for FSG), SM (for FSGS), PL with WM (for FSGP)

Once additional appliances ordered all call slips will show ‘FSG in progress at this incident’.

FSG coordinator

Search coordinator.

A

FSG coordinator;

  • SM min.
  • As soon as resources allow.
  • Collate and retain FSG info & actions
  • First action speak to control to get latest FSG info. Names of caller may be passed by telephone.
  • IC brief must detail limits of authority and comms lines.

Search coordinator;

  • Info & updates must be passed to them.
  • their priorities and allocation of resources will be affected by FSG dev/ outcome.
  • they will keep FSG coordinator informed of search results.

Advice to callers

A

In exceptional circumstances IC May consider informing control that their advice should be altered. Liaison with officer of watch will be required for agreement.
