very old sample, cold cases, mass disasters, cases with limited biologiacal material
where can you get mitochondrial DNA

can identifications still be made if radiographs are missing?
yes, as long as there are good chart notes.
what are some benefits of Dental vs DNA forensics?
inexpensive (300-500), results within hours to days, x-rays and dental notes can be received readily, no contamination.
what must you do with bite marks?
take photo of whole body with a ruler, swab the teeth pattern for evaluation, take impressions of victim and perpetrators, see if they match.
