- war is against a group - or groups - not nations
- “war on terror” will not officially come to an end (no treaties)

the key to the war on terror is the fact that the fight is not a nation or a group of nations against other nations - as was the case in WWII. instead, people must be on guard for any and all dangers from individuals and groups that want to do harm. It is a much more difficult fight than facing an opponent with a specific nation and a specific uniform
