Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act what are the three duties every employee must adhere to?
Take reasonable care for his or her own health and safety
Take reasonable care for health and safety of persons who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions
Co-operate with his or her employer with respect to any action taken by them to comply with the requirements imposed by or under this act

Hazard reporting is a legislative requirement under the OHS act. Why is it important to report hazards?
OHS regulations provide all hazards must be dead documented in the report.
Serious injuries and certain disasters need to be reported to WorkSafe to ensure correct documentation, medical action and investigation can be activated if needed.
Your role as a security officer will have you responding to several different types of emergencies. List six emergencies that you may respond to.

Any incident that you attend may have an incident controller. What is their role?

If an incident occurs at work you will have to report and investigate. Why is this important?
The purpose is to accurately determine the circumstance under which the incident occurred to prevent re-occurrence.
How can an investigation produce change?

By providing information to help predict the future
