Clinical manifestations of FVE/hyervolemia
edema, crackles in lungs, distended neck veins
Interventions for FVE/hypervolemia
diuretics to pull off extra fluid, stop IV fluids
Hyperkalemia symptoms
v-fib, cardiac arrest, hypotension, bradycardia, paralysis, muscle weakness (everything is tight and controlled)
Hypokalemia symptoms
decreased reflexes, muscle cramping, decreased GI motility (low and slow)
Hypernatremia symptoms
edema, fever, excess thirst, nausea, vomiting, increased muscle tone (big and bloated)
Hyponatremia symptoms
seizures, coma, tachycardia, fatigue (depressed and deflated)
Hypermagnesium symptoms
heart block, bradycardia, hypotension, decreased tendon reflexes, depressed respirations (calm and quiet)
Hypomagnesium symptoms
tachycardia, increased tendon reflexes, hyperactive bowel sounds, abnormal eye movements (increased activity)
Hypercalcemia symptoms
constipation, bone pain, kidney stones, muscle weakness, decreased tendon reflexes (swollen and slow)
Hypocalcemia symptoms
trousseau’s sign, chvostek’s sign, diarrhea, weak bones, bleeding risk, cardiac rythmias
Hyperphosphatemia
low calcium signs
Hypophosphatemia
high calcium signs
