What is required for a PIC to do with regards to pre-flight prep
Things like look at NOTAMs
Require:
* Met info, if available
* Fuel Requirements
* Alternatives available
* Traffic delays as notified by ATS
* Status of comms and nav devices
* Current conditions of aerodromes and runway lengths
* take-off and landing distances
If two or more engines:
* Procedures for engine inop
* Performance if one engine inop.
NOTAMs
Serial Number format.
What does R N C mean?
Serial number xxxx/yy ( yy is the year)
* R - Replacement
* N - New
* C - Cancelled
Issuing and reason for AIP supplement
Issued every 28 days
Should be read
Copy must be retained
Trigger NOTAMS
Trigger NOTAM is a reminder that a suppliment has been released.
What does AIC mean? Purpose?
Aeronautical Information Circular
Provide more detailed intrepation of the CAR rules for what it was issued for.

A - domestically
B - domestically and internationally
Minimum Fuel requirements?
30 minutes Day VFR
45 minutes Night VFR
When are flight plans sumbitted for VFR flights?
> 50NM from shore - required
If Alerting service is required.
PIC can submit if they want to.
What details are required in a flight plan?
IN AIP VOL 4
* Aircraft reg and callsign
* type to be used
* the route - include interim aerodromes
* SARTIME
* fuel Endurance
* total number of persons on board
* name and telephone of PIC
* name of the operator
* additional information that may be helpful
How and when can a flight plan be changed?
Must be done BEFORE SARTIME
Via radio
Via phone
Contact CHCH info ( NOT CHCH CONTROL )
Flight plan must be terminated before ?
