Flight Controls Flashcards
Is there manual reversion?
No
Is the alternate flap extension system hydraulic?
No it is electric
Can you extend the flaps and slats electically?
Yes
Should you attempt an alternate flap extension if there is flaps disagree?
Yes you can use the alternate extension
Should you use the alternate slats extension if there is a slat disagree?
Yes you can use it
Should you do an alternate slat or flap extension if there is a slat or flap asymetry?
No
Is there asymmetry protection in the alternate mode?
No
Normally are flaps and slats extension hydraulic or electric?
Hydraulic
What hydraulic system powers the flaps and slats?
Center
Which ailerons droop?
Inboard ailerons droops starting at flaps 5
What happens to flaps and slats when a assymetry is sensed?
They stop
What can cause a flaps disagree message?
When the flaps are not in their commanded position, or not driving toward their commanded posi-tion, a TE FLAP DISAGREE can happen. It may also occur if the flap lever is not in a detent for an extended period of time. In this case, the light and message may be removed by moving the flap lever to the desired detent.
How many pdu do you have for the flaps and slats system?
One for inboard slats
One for outboard slats
One for trailing edge flaps.
3 total
Do you get flap load relief using alternate extnsion?
No
When Does flap load relief kick in?
Armed when you go to flaps 20. Kicks the flaps all the way back to 20 before going back to selected setting.
Do the flaps move with flap one position?
No only the slats move to the takeoff position
When do the slats move to landing position?
Flaps 25
Does the speed brakes ned to be armed for it to activate?
No. If the 3 conditions are met and you raise any thrust reverser to the interlock position, the speed brakes will deploy
What are the conditions for auto speed brake deployment?
- There is hydraulic pressure to both landing gear truck tilt actuators.
- Both truck tilt sensors detect a no-tilt condition (airplane on the ground).
- Both Thrust levers are at idle.
If you do a rejected takeoff and did not arm rto and one of your reversers is on mel, will your speed brakes deploy if you forgot to do it as part of you reject procedure?
Yes. The plane is on the ground and moving any reverser to the interlock will activate tje spoilers.
Speed brakes extend to a greater angle in flight or on the ground?
On ground
How many spoiler panels do we have?
12
6 on each wing
How many inboard slats?
2
One on each wing
How many outboard slats?
10
Five on each wing
