12
Q

What can cause a flaps disagree message?

A

When the flaps are not in their commanded position, or not driving toward their commanded posi-tion, a TE FLAP DISAGREE can happen. It may also occur if the flap lever is not in a detent for an extended period of time. In this case, the light and message may be removed by moving the flap lever to the desired detent.

Q

Does the speed brakes ned to be armed for it to activate?

A

19
Q

What are the conditions for auto speed brake deployment?

A
  1. There is hydraulic pressure to both landing gear truck tilt actuators.
  2. Both truck tilt sensors detect a no-tilt condition (airplane on the ground).
  3. Both Thrust levers are at idle.

Q

If you do a rejected takeoff and did not arm rto and one of your reversers is on mel, will your speed brakes deploy if you forgot to do it as part of you reject procedure?

A

Yes. The plane is on the ground and moving any reverser to the interlock will activate tje spoilers.

Q

How many total slats do we have?

26
Q

How many ailerons we have?

A

4 total

Two inboard and two outboard

27
Q

When is aileron locked out?

A

High speeds the outboard ailerons are locked out. They are unlocked at lower speeds.

28
Q

How many hydraulic spoiler actuators we have?

A

12.

One for each panel

29
Q

When does speed rakes ext message and speedbrake light come on?

A

The SPEEDBRAKES EXT message appears and the SPEEDBRAKES light illuminates to indi-cate that the speedbrake lever is beyond the ARMED detent with the Captain’s radio altitude between 800 feet and 15 feet. The same message and light occur when the speedbrake lever is beyond the ARMED detent with landing flaps extended and the Captain’s radio altitude above 15 feet.

30
Q

How many hyd actuators for each aileron?

A

2 per aileron

31
Q

What does an aileron lock out message at high speeds mean?

A

Means the ailerons have not been locked out

32
Q

What does an aileron lock out message at low speeds mean?

A

Means the ailerons have not been unlocked eventhough you are now at a low speed

33
Q

When is the pitch enhancement system PES activated?

A

Loss of both the left and center hydraulic systems in-flight opens a shutoff valve to automatically activate the pitch enhancement system (PES). The PES consists of a hydraulic motor in the right system driving a pump which uses trapped left trim system fluid to operate the stabilizer. The PES trims at approximately 1/4 the normal rate. When the PES is operating, only electric trim is avail-able; manual and automatic trim will be inoperative.

34
Q

Which is the only trim you get with PES?

A

Electric trim

35
Q

Which trim can override all other trims?

A

Manual trim

36
Q

Which are the different kinds of trims?

A

Manual, electric and automatic

37
Q

How does manual trim work?

A

It bypasses the SAM and goes into the motor directly

38
Q

If you loose one hyd trim motor, will you get normal trim rate?

A

No it will be half speed

39
Q

What happens if you are on single auto pilot and you use electric trim?

A

It disconnects.

40
Q

Will the autopilot disconnect if you are on 3 autopilot mode and you use the electric trim?

A

No

41
Q

What happens if you are on autopilot and you use aileron trim?

A

Nothing. The autopilot will not disconnect. This is not recommended procedure.

42
Q

Is the stabilizer moved electrically or hydraulicaly?

A

2 Hydraulic motors working one jack screw.

43
Q

When can you get an unscheduled trim message?

A

An unscheduled stabilizer trim condition is detected anytime the stabilizer moves without receiv-ing a trim signal. Unscheduled trim is also detected if the stabilizer is moving in the opposite direc-tion signaled by the autopilot. The UNSCHEDULED STAB TRIM light illuminates and the UNSCHD STAB TRIM caution message appears when either condition occurs. The light and message also occur if manual trim is used with an autopilot engaged

44
Q

Does the auto pilot use both trim control modules?

A

No only one. It also trims at a slower rate than all the other trims.

45
Q

Which hyd systems power the left and right yaw dampers?

A

The left and right yaw damper actuators are powered by the center and left hydrau-lic systems respectively

46
Q

Which hyd system powers the rudder ratio system?

A

Left

47
Q

What happens to the left hyd system if the rudder ratio system turns itself off?

A

It turns the left hyd actuator to the rudder off

48
Q

How many elevators do we have?

A

2

49
Q

How do you control a jammed elevator?

A

Elevator override. Use more force

50
Q

How do you control a jammed aileron?

A

Aileron override. Use more force

51
Q

What happens if you push or pull the control column in the opposite direction of trimming?

A

The auto trim and electric are deactivated.

52
Q

Does using manual trim kick off the autopilot?

A

No

53
Q

What must you have operating if you want to test the yaw damper system on the groud?

A

The entire yaw damper system can be tested on the ground with the yaw damper test switch. The test requires one aligned IRS and hydraulic power for the yaw damper system to be tested.

54
Q

How many actuators are on each elevator?

A

3

55
Q

How many elevator feel systems do we have?

A

2

56
Q

Which hyd systems power the elevator feel systems?

A

Left and center

57
Q

What is the function of the flight control shutoff switches?

A

Shutoff hyd supply to the associated flight controls

58
Q

What is the function of the stab trim cutout switches?

A

Shut down hyd supply to the associated stab trim motor and brake assembles.

59
Q

How many actuators are on the rudder?

A

3

60
Q

Will the speedbrakes deploy if you did not arm it in the air?

A

Yes it will deploy once you touch down and you select reversers.

61
Q

How many elevator feel computers do we have?

A

2

62
Q

Can you use electric trim if multiple autopilots are engaged?

A

No it is inhibited. So if u use electric trim while in triple isolation during approach, it wont kick off the autopilot.
