for an APU fire on the ground, a nose strut mounted fire warning horn sounds and the APU automatically shuts down.
How can you silence an apu fire horn?
The bell or horn may be silenced by any of the following actions:
- Extinguishing the fire (bell and horn).
- Pushing either Master Warning/ Caution reset switch (bell).
- Pulling the appropriate fire switch (bell and horn).
- Pushing the appropriate cargo compartment armed switch (bell)
- Pushing the nose strut mounted APU shutdown switch (horn). 6. Pushing the main cargo depressurization switch (bell)
Do you get an eicas for main deck cargo fire?
No
Do you have fire protection for main deck cargo?
No. Only detection. It is a class E compartment
What kind if loops do the engine nacelle and apu have?
Dual
What happens to the configuration when a fault is automatically detected in one of the loops?
Reconfigures to single loop

- trips APU generator field and generator
- closes APU air supply valve

When does the 2nd and 3rd cargo fire bottles deploy?
Bottles 2 and 2a deploy after 30 mins. If you land inside 30 mins, they deploy automatically when you touch down.
What kind of loops do main deck have?
Dual
What all does pressing the cargo fire depress switch do?
Pushing the CARGO FIRE DEPRESS switch (DEPR CARGO) results in a gradual depressuriza-tion of the aircraft and commands the following actions:
- Shuts down right pack during two pack operation. With single pack opera-tion the operating pack will go to a low flow.
- Commands left pack to low flow.
- Closes valves supplying air to main cargo deck (aft of the smoke barrier).
- Shuts down supplemental heaters in supernumerary compartment.
- Illuminates the “USE OXYGEN” alert lights in supernumerary compartment and lavatory.
- Closes main deck zone trim air valves.
- Silences the fire bell.
- Shuts down heat valves in lower cargo compartments.
- Opens the E/E smoke override valve.
- Inhibits master warning light and aural warning for cabin Altitude
When do you get a fail light on the fire test panel?
If both detectors fail to test, the affected system will turn on the SYS FAIL light.

Battery operated
Do you get a lv fire indication in the cockpit?
No. But you hear a sound from the lav
What kind of extinguisher do you have in the lav?
Automatic fuse plug type extinguisher. Automatically deploys when it senses a fire and the fuse plug melts.
