What is classed as a ‘Firefighter Emergency’?
Whenever Fire service personnel or personnel working under control of the fire service are unaccounted for and/or in need of rescue

What will the DAC do once in attendance at the incident?
Either take over as IC of incident or (if a DAC or AC is in charge) take responsibility for FFE
What should be considered following declaration of FFE?
Tactical withdrawal or emergency evacuation
What is Emergency evacuation?
Immediate and controlled withdrawal of personnel from scenes of operation
What should the actions be of all personnel once hearing the evacuation signal?
Repeat the signal
withdraw to place of safety
Assemble at booking in point
BA teams must follow correct closing down procedures
When can crews re enter building or hazard zone following an emergency evac?
On instruction of the IC
What is a Tactical Withdrawal?
Removal of personnel from a specific area in a planned manner
When should a role call be taken?
Following a FFE, Emergency evacuation or Tactical withdrawal
Who will oversee the role call?
IC or someone nominated by the IC
