What are three types of radio traffic?

A
  1. emergency traffic: firefighter safety (unable to pump water; extreme fire event; etc) [go to alarm for emergency traffic; then to command]
  2. priority traffic: civilian safety; essential info [go straight to command]
  3. normal traffic
    [then there are maydays: lost/trapped firefighters]

What is the gallonage for 2 1/2 and 1 3/4 per second?

A
  1. 2 1/2 @ 300 gpm = 5 gal/sec (50gallons / per 10 seconds)
  2. 1 3/4 @ 185 gpm = 3 gal/sec (30gallons / per 10 seconds)

If I pulled a 2 1/2 how long would it last flowing three different flow rates?

  1. Continuous = 1.5 minutes
  2. 10/10 flow = 3 minutes
  3. 10/20 flow = 4.5 minutes
