Question 1

How to properly conduct a reverse out.

1. When leaving supply at apparatus tell FF to get hydrant adapter
2. Connect 5 inch to large diameter discharge
3. Open tank to pump and large diameter discharge [give water at idle; don’t worry about pressures at first]
4. Then get supply [I can keep pump at idle, unless flows require more]

Question 2

What do I do if I have a Pump failure. (5)

Answer 2

1. Emergency traffic
2. Take out of pump [if another apparatus is pumping through me.]
3. If I have a hydrant I still have some intake pressure. [I might be able to pump a 2 1/2]
4. If any available apparatus, I can connect in to them and at least have them boost my pressure and give me their tanks
5. Another apparatus needs to get a [second?] supply and boost my intake pressure with 5inch or 2 1/2 supply
6. I might be able to connect 5” from my intake to another engine for them to either pump me or pull lines off their truck
