A

There are circumstances such as bomb threats, large fuel spills and smoke in the cabin (on the ground) which call for the passengers to leave the cabin in an expeditious manner through the main entry door, without risk of injury to the passengers, crew or damage to the aircraft

Captain and FIC will be in contact thru interphone and request for rapid deplanement.

The In-charge will subsequently complete the following tasks:
▪ Direct passenger deplanement
▪ Communicate with other crew members

▪ Confirm with Captain all passengers have deplaned
▪ Leave aircraft
If the Cabin Crew becomes aware of a requirement for rapid deplanement, the Captain will be advised and a

A

The Emergency Locator Transmitter transmits an emergency signal to Search and Rescue authorities in the
event that an aircraft has an emergency landing or has experienced severe gravitational forces.
The ELT operates automatically or manually.
In the cockpit the ELT signal can be manually activated with a switch.
There is also a switch on the ELT itself that will manually activate the signal.
The ELT will transmit for a period of approximately 50 hours.
