What phase of HIV/AIDS has low viral load?
Chronic asymptomatic

All decreased, except it is fairly normal in chronic asymptomatic.
Treatment of AIDS with drugs
Need to use at least 3 drugs from 2 different classes (could be much more). Set reminders to take all meds ON TIME!

What is a common side effects from being on ART
Metabolic disorders. Fat deposits around the body. May need drug regiment changed.
Truvada
Part of PrEP. Its a drugs that is used for ppl who have sex with someone who has HIV (someone married to a person who has HIV, but they dont)
PrEp
Preexposure prophylaxis. Includes safe sex, risk counseling, regular testing, and drugs (Truvada)
Wasting Stndrome
Unwanted weight loss of 10% or more of ideal body mass
Goal of ART
To decrease viral load while maintaining/increasing T cell counts
How long do you wait to have sex if outbreak occurs
7 days, even with a condom
Which diseases are usually reportable?
Gonorrhea, syphylis, chlamydia, AIDS
Which two STDs are found commonly together?
Gonorrhea and Chlamydia
